Expected Outputs:

From a practical perspective the Study Group is not elaborating new standards, but rather, it aims to bridge the gap between internationally available standards in the area of minority policies, the relevant expertise accumulated by such disciplines as law, political science, anthropology etc., and the political practice of minority accommodation in Russia. The Study Group is therefore expected to substantially contribute to ongoing discussions in academia and in the political sphere. This will be achieved by elaborating two databases – one consisting of legal regulations and the other of political articulations – and by publishing scholarly essays analyzing various aspects of minority accommodation in the Russian Federation.
